إن دراسة سيرة المصطفى صلى الله عليه وسلم ودعوته أشرف وأجل علم بعد كتاب الله عز وجل, فائدتها عظيمة لكل مسلم, ولكل من يريد الدعوة الى الله على وجه الخصوص. فسيرته العطرة, وطريقته في دعوة الأقارب والأباعد, معالم في طريق الدعوة الى الله, يهتدي بها الدعاة, ويستنير بها المصلحون على مر السنين, وقد تناول هذا الكتاب دعوة النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم للأعراب, وهم فئة من الناس يشكلون النسبة العظمى من أهل الجزيرة, ويختلفون في اسلامهم, منهم من أسلم ولما يدخل الإيمان في قلبه, ومنهم المؤمن الصادق المجاهد, ومنهم المنافق ومنهم الكافر المعاند. فكتاب الله يحمد بعضهم ويذم بعضهم الآخر, وعامة سورة التوبة فيها الذم للمنافقين من أهل المدينة ومن الأعراب, كما فيها الثناء على السابقين الأولين من المهاجرين والأنصار والذين اتبعوهم بإحسان, وعلى الأعراب الذين يتخذون ما ينفقون قربات عند الله وصلوات الرسول. وقد كان من أهم ما دفع لاختيار هذا الموضوع هو: الرغبة في تأصيل الأسلوب الأمثل والوسيلة المثلى في دعوة الأعراب في العصر الحاضر, المساهمة في وضع الأسلوب المناسب للقضاء على العادات المنافية للإسلام, أن هذا الموضوع مرتبط بتخصص الدعوة, كون الأعراب كثيري الوقوع في المحظورات بسبب الجهل أو المعارضة بحكم العادات والتقاليد, كون الأعراب في عصرنا الحاضر يشكلون نسبة كبيرة في بلاد المسلمين.
