ما يميز هذا الكتاب أنه يجمع بين طياته دراسة لغوية لأسلوب القرآن الكريم في جزء عمّ، يدونها "محمود أحمد نحلة" وهدفه فيها استكمال جهود العلماء القدامى في الدراسة "النصية" للقرآن الكريم دراسة تحليلية للنص ذاته في ظواهره اللغوية المختلفة: صوتية، وصرفية، ونحوية أو تركيبية ودلالية وتعدّ هذه الظواهر خروجاً عن النسق المألوف للتعبير في اللغة المستعملة استعمالاً غير فني.
وقد اصطنع في ذلك المنهج الوصفي التفسيري الفني-لا التقريري-الذي يعتمد على الإحصاء اللغوي المقارنات اللغوية في كثير من المواضيع لتتكشف الحقائق واضحة للعيان.
يعدّ هذا البحث أول دراسة لغوية حديثة لأسلوب القرآن الكريم عمدتها النص القرآني وهدفها الكشف عن جوانب جديدة من الإعجاز اللغوي للنص القرآني الكريم.
