"أوسع كتاب حواري عن الرواية السعودية بعنوان: "الرواية السعودية: حوارات وأسئلة وإشكالات" من إعداد طامي السميري، الكتاب يضم (51) حواراً صحفياً كان السميري قد أجراها مع عدد من الروائيين والروائيات والنقاد السعوديين خلال الأعوام الماضية ونشرت بالملحق الثقافي بصحيفة الرياض.
وقد ركز طامي السميري في هذه الحوارات التي خصصها للرواية السعودية على طرح أسئلة حول المضامين والموضوعات التي تحتويها الرواية السعودية الراهنة، وأبرز الإشكاليات التي تتناولها وتعالجها سردياً، وأهم القضايا التي تعترض نمو العمل الروائي فنياً، والقيم الجمالية التي تتمثلها الرواية السعودية.
وقد تضمن الكتاب حوارات مع (22) روائياً منهم: عبده خال، يوسف المحيميد، عواض شاهر، عبد الله بخيت، فهد العتيق، محمود تراوري، محمد حسن علوان، عبد العزيز الصقعبي، عبد الحليم البراك، عبد الله ثابت، كما ضمّ حوارات مع (17) روائية سعودية منهن: أميمة الخميس، بدرية البشر، سمر المقرن، زينب حفني، قماشة العليان، ليلى الجهني، رجاء الصانع، وردة عبد الملك، صبا الحرز، أمل الفاران، نورة الغامدي، منيرة السبيعي، فيما ضمّ حوارات حول جماليات الرواية السعودية وأسئلتها مع 12 باحثاً وناقداً منهم: عبد الله الغذامي، سعيد السريحي، محمد العباس، محمد الحرز، سعاد المانع، لمياء باعشن، معجب العدواني، حامد بن عقيل، سالمة الموشى.
والأسماء التي اختارها السميري للحوار تمثل الأجيال الروائية التي ظهرت في تسعينيات القرن العشرين وبداية القرن الحادي والعشرين، وقد كان معظمهم يكتبون القصة القصيرة مثل عبده خال، ويوسف المحيميد، والصقعبي، والعتيق، وبدرية البشر، وأميمة الخميس ثم اتجهوا لكتابة الرواية، أما الباقون فقد أصدروا ما بين رواية واحدة إلى ثلاث روايات، في السنوات الخمس الماضية.
