هذا كتاب تحدث فيه أبي عثمان النابلسي الصفدي الشافعي على الفيوم وبلاده، وذلك في عشرة أبواب هي كالتالي: الباب الأول: في وضعه من حيث الجملة، الباب الثاني: في ذكر مزاجه، الباب الثالث: في وصف هوائه ومائه، الباب الرابع: في ذكر سبب استمرار جريان مائه مع انقطاع مده من غير أن يجر إليه نهر أو يتصل ببحر، الباب الخامس: في ذكر الساكنين به وانقسامهم إلى البدو الحضر، الباب السادس: في ذكر ما تغير من بحره وسبب ذلك وما دثر من بلاده حتى عسر تداركه إلا بالأموال الجزيلة والمدة الطويلة، الباب السابع: في أسماء بلاده على حروف المعجم، الباب الثامن: في ذكر ما به من الجوامع والمساجد والديرة والكنائس، الباب التاسع: في ذكر ما يشتمل عليه من عين وغلة وغير ذلك من حيث الجملة، الباب العاشر: في وصف بلاده وارتقائها بلداً بلداً.
