إن الشاعر في زمان ومكان هو إنسان مميز بإحساس مرهف وعاطفة نبيلة وإستشراف للمستقبل لذلك يرى في الأمور ما لا يراه الآخرون ويتكلم بأسلوب يُعرف به وبحق سمي ميزان كلامه بحراً... والسطر بيتاً... والنصف شطراً... وكم رفع بيت الشعر من بيوت وكم خفض ذلك البيت في التاريخ من بيوت.
وشاعرنا السيد محمد طربين... هاجر الوطن جسداً واحتضنه روحاً ومشاعر وإن شئت قلت: وهو بعودته إلى الوطن أيضاً حمل ديار الإغتراب إلى الوطن الأم.
لذلك نسج شعره قصائد يصور ويؤرخ فيها لجربته ومسيرته في الحياة... وبحق إن الشاعر له عالمه الخاص... فهو مع الناس بجسده ولكنه مع عالمه الآخر في مشاعره وتصوراته وكل يسكن بيته وحده... أما الشاعر فما يملكه هو للناس كل الناس... ولكن لا يستقر معه في ذلك البيت إلا من شاركه الأدب وتحلى بتذوق فن الشعر ويمضي شاعرنا وقد تجلببت قصائده الدين إزاراً ورداءً... ففي رحاب الإسلام نشأ وتحت راية الإسلام ينشد.
وإذا أمعنت النظر في شعره انتقل بك إلى حيث هو... وهذه روعة الشعر والشعراء... يأخذون بيد القارئ إلى حيث هم... ينعم معهم في مملكة الشعر والشعور والمشاعر...
ومعاً نمضي من خلال قصائد الشاعر محمد طربين نبحر من لبنان إلى المهجر ومن المهجر إلى لبنان في آن وإنك تضمن في الحالين أنك واصل إلى بر الأمان.
