هَذِهِ هِيَ أَرْضِي،
عَرَفْتُهَا منْ أوّل نظْرةٍ،
رَغمَ أنّ مفَاتيحِهَا ليْستْ معِي،
أخذَتْها منِّي البُروقُ
عِندَمَا كُنتُ أُحَيِّي
مُهَاجِرينَ يلْهَثونَ تحْتَ الضّبَابْ.
وَعُيُونِي مِنَ الحيْرَة
سَمِعَتْ هَدِيراً أخَافهَا.
لَمْ أرَ علَى أرضِي
سِوَى طَائر طارَ مِن هُنَا
وَرفَضَ أنْ يَحُطّ هُنَاك،
حَيْثُ يَصْدَأ الحَدِيدْ
وَتَنْفُد الذّخِيرَة.
