إن عباد الله يدعون ربهم في كل وقت وحين وهو قريب يجيب دعوة الداع إذا دعاه، فقد قال تعالى "وإذا سألك عبادي عني فإني قريب أجيب دعوة الداع إذا دعان، فليستجيبوا لي وليؤمنوا بي لعلهم يرشدون".
لكن المناجاة لها جوها الخاص وأساليبها وتعبيراتها المتميزة، خاصة إذا كانت في جوف الليل الآخر ضمن قيام الليل، حيث تتحقق الخلوة مع الله والتضرع إليه بعيداً عن الأنظار والأسماع، في هدأة الليل والناس نيام فقد قال الله تعالى" ادعوا ربكم تضرعاً وخفية".
ففي المناجاة يخلص القلب إلى الله متخلياً عن كل ما سواه، متحلياً بذل العبودية لله، في جو من الشعور بالضعف وقلة الحيلة واللجوء وطلب العون من القوي العزيز، وجو من الشعور بخشية الله والخوف من عذابه مع الاعتراف بالذنوب والتقصير في حق الله ومع الإلحاح في طلب العفو والمغفرة من العفو الغفور. والشعور بالرهبة والرغبة وبالطمع والرجاء مع طلب الرحمة من الرحمن الرحيم.
وهذا الكتيب "مناجاة على طريق الدعوة" مقصود به تقوية الصلة بالله والحياة مع الله في خلوة المناجاة، يبثه كل ما في قلبه من مشاعر وأحاسيس، وما يعرض له على طريق الدعوة من آلام أو آمال، سائلاً إياه الهداية والتوفيق والعون والسداد، والرضا والقبول. ألا ما أجمل مناجاة العبد لربه إذا صفا لها قلبه وتوجهت إليها همته وما أعظم أثرها في نفسه، ومن ذاق عرف وداوم.
