في عصر طغت فيه السمة العلمية, سواء أكانت علمية حقاً. أم تتمظهر بالعلم. أصبحت هذه السمة مختلطة على الناس. وخاصة منبهروا بهذا الاسم. فأصبحوا لا يميزون بين ما هو علمي حقاً وبين ما هو متمظهر بالعلم. وعدم التمييز هذا يرجع لسببين: الجهل بالمعنى الحقيقي للعلم, واتباع الأهواء التي تضل الإنسان عن الحق. ففي هذا العصر حاول العلماء وأشباه العلماء إخضاع كل شيء للعلم. وأصحاب هذا لأسلوب وصل بهم الحد الى تقييد قدرة الله تعالى! فقد وصلوا الى أن النظام الكوني لا يمكن خرقه حتى من قبل الله تعالى خالق هذا الكون!!. فكان لا بد من توضيح ما أبهم عليهم إن كانوا جاهلين به. ومواجهتهم بالحق إن كانوا قاصدين بعلمهم إقناع الناس بما لم ينزل به الله سبحانه وتعالى من سلطان. وهذا ليس دفاعاً عن الاسلام بل إظهاراً للحق وظهور الحق كاف لأن يزهق الباطل. ولأن الاسلام ليس بحاجة لمن يدافع عنه بل بحاجة لمن يفهمه الفهم الصحيح. ثم يظهره للناس.
