إذا كان ما بين تشرين وتشرين صيفٌ ثانٍ، فإن ما بين الحب والهجر عذابٌ ثانٍ، هذا ما تشي به قصائد الشاعرة الدكتورة مها العتيبي في منتجها الشعري "تشرين والحبُّ والأغنيات" وبهذا تكون الشاعرة العتيبي قد دخلت الشعر من بوابة البوح، والغاية تأسيس مشهدٍ شعري يترادف عبر متنه النص محمول الدلالة والصوت، فالكلام يحدد الفكرة، ويقيدها بالحروف، بينما ينطلق البوح ويفتح أفق القراءة على معانٍ شتى لا تتحقق إلا بوعي قيمة الحياة ذاتها، وعيشها أيضاً.
في القصيدة المعنونة "إبتهال الأسئلة" تقول الشاعرة العتيبي: "قُل لي يزبكَ ما الذنبُ الذي كَانا... والوعدُ أمسى بطولِ الهجر حرمانَا... والأمسُ يأسٌ وما في اليوم من خبرٍ... يُبعثرُ الصمتَ في أعتاب نجوانَا... بالدَمعِ قد شرقت أسرابُ أُمنيةٍ... تجثوُ على بابها الموسوم لقيانا... ما بين مُصطحبٍ بالحُبِّ مُرتجفٍ... يَضمُّ أحلامهُ الخضراء نشوانا...".
عبر هذا الأداء العالي من الكتابة تمتلئ نصوص الشاعرة بالحب والشوق والتوق وفيض المشاعر، فالشاعرة هنا تكتب عن اللحظات التي يمكن أن تعاش، عن الحب، مثلما تكتب عن لحظات الفراق، وبهذا تعد الكتابة ذاتها نوعاً من الغياب والإنتظار؛ ولتبقى المعاني هي أسئلة الروح، وهي ترقب اللقاء.
يضم الكتاب قصائد في الشعر العربي الحديث جاءت تحت العناوين الآتية: "شغف"، "تشرين والحب والأغنيات"، "على مقام الوجد أغني"، "قد مسني الشوق"، "عطش القوام"، "أفاقتين"، "حلم الهوى"، "أغنيات في مهب الليل"... وعناوين أخرى.
إني أتيتكَ في مهبِّ حقيقةٍ... للشوقِ فيها آيةُ الإصغاءِ/ ضُمَّ احتياجَ القلبِ ضَاعت وجهَتِي... إلاَّ إليكَ تسَابقت أنوائِي/ فالمَاءُ شفَّ عن الأنينِ بصمتِنَا... والدمعُ غَافٍ والحنينُ ردائِي/ وبراعمٌ للحبِّ أينعَ طلعها... في راحتيكَ فأزهرَت بشتائِي.
