ذات يوم خرج الابن لأكبر لإحضار الحطب فقابل قزم عجوز طلب منه بعض الطعام فلم يقبل فأفلتت الكأس من يده ولم يحمل الحطب وهذا ما حصل للأبن الثاني.
عندها تطوع الأبله للمساعدة وعندما طلب منه القزم الطعام لبى طلبه فأهداه إوزة ذهبية. فهل يا ترى ستغير هذه الأوزة حياته وتنصبه ملكاً على البلاد؟
