حديقة الأزهار كتاب وضعه طبيب مغربي هو أبو القاسم بن محمد الأندلسي الغساني الشهير بالوزير، وهو كتاب عجيب في بابه، يذكر سائر الأعشاب والعقاقير بما سميت به في الكتب ثم يذكر اسمها الذي ألفه الناس ويذكر خواص كل واحد من الأعشاب والعقاقير.
وقد نهج المؤلف فيه منهجاً علمياً سليماً إذ استفاد من أوثق المصادر العربية في علمي النبات والطب، ورتبه على الحروف الأبجدية باصطلاح المغاربة مبتدأ بحرف الألف ومنتهياً بالشين. وهو بعد أن يذكر الاسم العلمي للمادة الطبية يشرح ماهيتها ويصف شكلها وأجزاءها ومن ثم ينتقل إلى بيان طبيعتها وخواصها ومنافعها الطبية أو مضارها -إن وجدت-.
وقد اعتمد المحقق في تحقيق كتاب حديقة الأزهار على أربع نسخ عمد إلى مقابلتها مشيراً في ذيل الصفحات إلى ما وجده في كل منها من ألفاظ وعبارات ساقطة أو ثابتة أو مصحفة. ثم شرح الألفاظ التي تحتاج إلى شرح أو بيان، ووضع لكل مفردة من المفردات النباتية والحيوانية والمعدنية الاسم العلمي اللاتيني الذي يقابلها والاسم الشائع في الفرنسية والإنكليزية وألحق بالكتاب الفهارس التي تقتضيها طبيعة التحقيق.
