يحتوي هذا الكتاب على أحاديث وردت في حبّ علي عليه السلام وبغضه، وعلى أحاديث حاكية لأعمال وأقوال بعض القرشيين، وما ارتكبوه من أفعاله بآل البيت بعد وفاة رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم كما ويحتوي الكتاب على ما جاء عن بعض العلماء الشيعة من أحاديث في موضوع ضرب الزهراء وإسقاط جنينها، وعلى ما جاء عن علم الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم بما سيجري على أهل بيته عليهم السلام، وعلى الاحتجاجات المذهبية التي دونها بعض علماء السنة على مسألة ضرب الزهراء وإسقاط جنينها وعل العديد من الأحاديث الكلامية التي وصفت ما جرى في الفترة اللاحقة لوفاة النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم.
