إن هذا الكتاب "المرشد إلى قواعد اللغة" هو محاولة من المؤلف لإيصال هذه القواعد والأصول إلى أذهان هؤلاء الدارسين على اختلاف مراحلهم الدراسية. وقد اعتمدت لذلك على شرح القاعدة وتوضيحها، وتفكيكها، على نصوص أدبية أجيد اختيارها، فجاءت واضحة ومتناسبة وأعمار التلاميذ ومستوياتهم العقلية، مراعية لاهتماماتهم العاطفية وميولهم النفسية، وحاولت إشراك التلميذ إشراكاً فاعلاً في النظر في النص، وفهمه، واستنباط القاعدة النحوية منه، متدرجة في ذلك من السهل الواضح إلى الأقل سهولة ووضوحاً، وقد اتبعت أسلوب الحوار القائم على أسئلة وأجوبة ترغّب الطالب في الدخول في أجواء الدرس، وتغريه بمتابعة المدرس، وتساعده على إدراك الأثر المعنوي والبعد الدلالي الذي تحدثه المسألة النحوية في النص، وبهذه الطريقة يصل التلميذ بنفسه إلى الإحاطة التامة بالقاعدة، واستيعاب جزئياتها، وتبيان دورها في بناء النص ويقدم له الأجوبة الدقيقة.
وعمدت المؤلفة إلى إثبات القاعدة النحوية في نهاية كل درس كما توصل الطلاب إلى بنائها بجزئياتها وتفاصيلها، والخلوص من الدرس بمسائل وتمارين عملية من شأنها أن تقوي المحفوظ النظري وتؤكده بالتطبيق العلمي. والخلاصة أن المؤلفة أرادت من هذا الكتاب أن يكون خلاصة لتجربتها في تدريس اللغة العربية، ولما أفادته من دراستها النظرية في الجامعة اللبنانية.
