يحمل هذا الكتاب دراستين لغويتين قرآنيتين وسمت الأولى بــ(صيغ المبالغة في الإستعمال القرآني) وهي دراسة في دلالة البنية الصرفية القرآنية لمعاني صيغ المبالغة، ورسمت الثانية بــ(وزن في التركيب القرآني) وهي دراسة في إستعمالات (وَزَنَ) مع بيان ملاحظها ومقاصدها الدلالية في التركيب القرآني.
وهاتان الدراستان اللغويتان القرآنيتان قامتا على دعامة خدمة كتاب العربية الأكبر (القرآن الكريم) في نشر مثل هكذا بحوث ودراسات وتقديمها للقارئ الكريم، للإفادة منها، وبخاصة منها طلاب الدراسات القرآنية واللغوية، وقد جمعت كما ألمعت هاتين الدراستين القرآنتين وتمثلتا في هذا الكتاب ليتسنى للقراء ولطلاب العربية ومحبي الدراسات القرآنية وعاشقيها الرجوع إليه، والإفادة منه.
إنّ من أجمل ما يعنُّ لدراس العربية هو أن يسعى باحثاً مزهواً في أرقى ميادين البحث الا وهو في كتاب العربية الأكبر (القرآن الكريم) فهو يعد بحق معيناً ثراً للدراسات اللغوية والنحوية والبلاغية، الى غير ذلك من الدراسات والبحوث اذ ليس هناك البتة نص يضاهيه أو يدانيه لا من قريب ولا من بعيد، فهو يمثل أعلى درجات الفصاحة والبيان العربي؛ ولأجل ذاك عقدت النية على دراسة (صيغ المبالغة في الاستعمال القرآني)، وذلك لما رأينا أنّ الصيغ متعددة ومختلفة البنى، وقد تمثل أمامي قول بعض المحققين من أهل العربية: بأن لا يجوز أن تختلف الحركتان في الكلمتين ومعناهما واحد. فبان لنا وثبت بأنّ تنوع صيغ المبالـغة لابد من أن يتبعه اختلاف في دلالاتها، فأمر جلي، أنّ صيغة (فَعِيل) تختلف عن صيغة (مِفْعَال) وهـذه أيضا تختلف عـن (فَعِل) وهكذا، قمت بادىء الأمر بمناقشة صيغ المبالغة وعلى وجه التخصيص منها ما وسم بالقياسي ومنها ما وسم بالسماعي، فعمدت دارساً كلّ صيغة واردة في الاستعمال القرآني ناصاً على دلالتها غير ﺁبه بما وسمه اللغويون أو الصرفيون بقياسية هذه الصيغة أو سماعية تلك.
