موسوعة شاملة للأعمال التجارية والمصرفية، يعرض المجلد الأول منها لعقود التجارة الدولية في مجال نقل التكنولوجيا من خلال التعريف بهذه العقود، وصور الإخلال بها وأثره، وكذلك تسوية المنازعات المترتبة عنها. في حين يبيّن المجلد الثاني التشريعات التجارية والإلكترونية، عبر الإشارة إلى الأعمال التجارية والتجار، والعقود التجارية، وكذلك المعاملات الإلكترونية. وأما المجلد الثالث فقد عرض ل ألأوراق التجارية، وكذلك كلّ من سند السحب والكمبيالة والشيك. ويتطرق المجلد الرابع لعمليات البنوك المتمثلة بالحسابات المصرفية والحساب الجاري والاعتماد المستندي والكفالات المصرفية وخطابات الضمان المصرفية والتحويل المصرفي. وأما موضوع الشركات التجارية فقد تناوله المجلد الخامس، الذي تحدّث عن الشركات المختلفة. في حين عالج المجلد الأخير موضوع عقد التأمين من الناحية القانونية.
هذا هو المجلد السادس من الموسوعة التجارية والمصرفية يصدر للإحاطة بما يتعلق بالأعمال التجارية كما ورص النص عليها في المادة 6 من قانون التجارة الذي اعتبر أعمال التأمين من الأعمال التجارية بحكم ماهيتها الذاتية.
وكان التوجه نحو الحديث في موضوع التأمين بدافع الوقوف على معرفة النصوص القانونية والنظريات الفقهية الباحثة في الجوانب المختلفة للتأمين باعتباره موضوعاً من الموضوعات التجارية التي ناقشت أعمال التأمين على نحو صار لازماً مناقشة هذا الموضوع للوقوف على أساليب أعمال التأمين من الناحية التجارية والأحكام التي تنطبق على هذه الأساليب.
