في هذا الكتاب يقدم الأستاذ عبد الرضا افتخاري ترجمة للرسالة الوجيزة المعنونة بـ "الإنسان الكامل من منظور نهج البلاغة" للأستاذ العلاّمة حسن حسن زاده الآملي. وترتكز في موضوعها على كلام الإمام علي رضي الله عنه "اللهم بلى ! لا تخلو الأرض من قائم لله بحجة" [نهج البلاغة: الحكمة 68].
في المقدمة التي يفتتح بها المؤلف رسالته هذه يقول: "موضوع هذه الرسالة الوجيزة هو الإنسان الكامل في موضوع نهج البلاغة وغرضه إثبات وجوب وجود مثل هذا الشخص دوماً في النشأة العنصرية والعالم الطبيعي ..." وعلى هذا يضم الكتاب (الرسالة) إحدى وسبعين خطبة للإمام جاءت في "وصف أولياء الله والإنسان الكامل من نهج البلاغة" بالإضافة إلى أقسام تتحدث عن مرتبة (الولاية) لولي الله "الإمام علي رضي الله عنه" ، وأخرى عن تمام النبوة للرسول محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم، ثم أولياء آل النبي أي العترة، وأهل بيته الذين اعتبرهم موضع القرآن وناطقيه، ومقيمي الدين، وشجرة النبوة، ومحط الرسالة، وينابيع الحكم. بعد ذلك يتطرق الكتاب إلى معاني "القطب" و "الوصي" ، و"ولي الله" وغيرها. ثم يشرح آيات تتصل بموضوع الإمامة كقوله: "خلف فيكم ما خلفتِ الأنبياء في أممها" وفي وصف نفس الإمام علي الشريفة "وإنما كنت جاراً جاوركم بدين" و "أن لكل ظاهراً باطناً على مثاله".
أما عن الإنسان الكامل، فيقول العلاّمة الآملي / مؤلف الكتاب: "يتفق العقل والنقل على أن النشأة الطبيعية لا تخلو أبداً من الإنسان الكامل المكمل وكلاهما (أي العقل والنقل) لسان حاله: "الإمام أصله قائم ونسله دائم كشجرة طيبة أصلها ثابت وفرعها في السماء تؤتي أُكلها كلّ حين بإذن ربها". وهذه سنة الله في النظام الرباني والعالم التكويني ...".
