لـمّا كان الاستعدادُ للآخرة الهمَّ الأكبر لكل مسلم يريد نجاته في الدنيا والآخرة، فقد جاءت الشريعة الغرّاء ببيان وافٍ لكيفية إبراء المسلم ذمتَه من سائر الحقوق، لا سيّما حقوق العباد المبنية على المشاحّة والاستيفاء. وهذا الكتاب الذي بين أيدينا هو دراسة علمية موسَّعة في هذا الموضوع، تناولت بالتفصيل الأسبابَ التي تؤدّي إلى انشغال الذمة، وما يترتب عليه من آثار، وبينت السبُل إلى تحقيق براءتها من ذلك. وقد أيد المؤلف بحوثَ كتابه ببيان آراء المذاهب الفقهية الأربعة، وأدلة كل مذهَب، ومناقشة تلك الأدلة. وتناولت الدراسة مسائلَ إبراء الذمة في المعاملات من معاوضات وتبرعات وأمانات، وفي النفقات المترتبة على النكاح أو القرابة، وفيما يتعلق بالفعل الضارّ في النفس والمال، وفي مسائل الحقوق المعنوية، وتناولت الإبراء من ذمة الحي وذمة الميت. فجاءت وافية كافية في الموضوع الذي انتدبت لمعالجته، وأضحتْ دليلاً هادياً للمسلم إلى براءة ذمته من أية حقوق تترتب على تصرّفاته وتعاملاته مع الناس.
