هذا هو مقرر مبادئ الجبر الخطي الذي يعالج موضوعات أساسية في الجبر الخطي والبرمجة الخطية، وقد جاء أسلوب المقرر منسجماً مع أسلوب التعلم عن بعد حيث احتوى العديد من الأمثلة التوضيحية والتدريبات المتنوعة المبثوثة في ثنايا المقرر إضافة إلى أسئلة التقويم الذاتي، وقد تم إعطاء الإجابات عن هذه التدريبات وتلك الأسئلة في نهاية كل وحدة من وحدات المقرر، وذلك لإكسابك الثقة بنفسك للتأكد من صحة الحلول وتلك الإجابات تزودك عزيزي الدارس بمفاتيح مساعدة عندما يغلق عليه أمر حل سؤال ما.
لقد جاء المقرر في خمس وحدات، حيث تناولت الوحدة الأولى موضوع المصفوفات والمعادلات الخطية وطرق حل هذه المعادلات الخطية، ومسائل عملية من تخصصي الفيزياء والكيمياء، وعالجت الوحدة الثانية موضوع المحددات وتم توظيف هذا الموضوع في إيجاد النظير الضربي لمصفوفة، وكذلك في حل نظام من المعادلات الخطية بطريقة كرامر.
أما الوحدة الثالثة فتقدم وبأسلوب مبسط الفضاء الخطي والتحويلات الخطية بما في ذلك الفضاءات الجزئية والمجموعات المولدة وأساس وبُعد الفضاء الخطي بالإضافة إلى نواة ومدى التحويل الخطي، وقد جاءت الوحدة الرابعة لإعطاء فكرة أولية عن القيم المميزة والمتجهات المميزة.
واختتم المقرر بالوحدة الخامسة التي تناولت موضوع البرمجة الخطية بمتغيرين وتم حل هذه البرامج بأسلوب الرسم.
