لا شك أن هذه الصور والمشاهد والمواقف الطريفة والحكايات المسلية لها نكهتها الخاصة المميزة، بالإضافة إلى أنها وثائق تاريخية مهمة، وصفحات كادت أن تطوى ويلفها النسيان، وأحداث تجمع بين الماضي الإجتماعي والحاضر الموروث، تعكس شريحة من المجتمع إذ كان مسرحها هذه المدينة التاريخية المقدسة، والغاية التي هدف إليها الكاتب هي إطلاع أبناء الجيل الحالي والأجيال القابلة على ماضي المجتمع الكربلائي كأحداث إجتماعية لها أهميتها، وجد أن من واجبه إماطة اللثام ونفض الغبار عن هذه الأحداث. فجمع ما تفرق من أشتات هذه الموضوعات وضمها في كتاب مستقل كي تتم به الفائدة. وتم ذلك من خلال استعراضه الكثير من الصور التاريخية التي وردت في أحاديث المعمرين وحكاياتهم وطرائفهم. وفيها المادة التاريخية المثبتة بمصادرها الموثوقة.
