في جديده الشعري، يبدو "تيسير حيدر" عاشقاً للريف، فالطبيعة هنا – في هذا الديوان – تتعدى أن تكون مصدراً للإلهام، ومساحة للبوح، وفضاء لتجلي الأحبة والوطن، إلى أن تبدو لبنة أساسية في تشكيل الخطاب الشعري ، وكأن الشاعر يبوح بسره مرة للأرض، وأخرى للسهل، وثالثة للشعر فيولد من جديد "كل يوم تلدني الأرض من جديد! / تبذرني في السهل، أصرخ فرحاً! / ألثمً تنوع الخصب، أتهجى الأفراح والشقائق والبلابل، / أرجوها صداقة! / أتزين بألوانها، تؤنسني، ترويني، تعزفُ سعادتي! (...)".
بهذه الصور المكثفة والمعبرة عن جمال الريف، تنتظم قصائد الديوان بكل تجلياتها الجمالية، ومعانيها، وصورها، الحسية والحلمية والذهنية. أما، ما يقوله الشاعر عن "عشق الريف": "الكلمات تحلو عندما تكون عبيرَ زنودِ الأغصان أو رحيق الأثلام أو شمس العسل والشهد!. لم أكتب سوى ما لامس حبي، ما سمعته من القبراتِ والحساسين، الوديان والأشجار وأهلي وأجدادي هم الرجيق، هم العطاء ! . ما عليكم إلا أن تدعوني أحلمً، أغني، أتألم، أعشق، لأبكي، أسمو عسى أن ألامس صفحة أكف القاطفين، أقبلها، والحاصدين، أتبارك من ذهب قمحها. والشهداءُ عطرٌ يعبق في السطور.
عندما يعشقُ القلب يعانق مشاعر الناس. أرجو أن أكون بسمةً، نسمةً قبله على جبين كلّ متصفحٍ لأوراقِ عمري الذي يهرول على الدروب الترابية المقدسة في الحقول!".
