يتابع المؤلف مشروعه النقدي في "أدب الأطفال" ويقف في هذه الدراسة التطبيقيّة على المؤثّرات التراثية التي ساعدت على تأصيل القصة الطفلية في وقتٍ مبكّرٍ، ويرى أن هذا النزوع التراثي كان من قبيل عشق الحكي السردي القديم الذي ابتدأه روّاد الكتابة الطفلية في ستينيات القرن الماضي، واتخذ بعضهم منه قالباً فنياً للتعبير عن الجديد الذي أحدثه إتصال المجتمع العربي بثقافات الأمم المعاصر، وقد راعت الدراسةُ العواملَ الفنية التي استلهمت الحكاية بغية إبداع قصةٍ جديدةٍ، تستند إلى موروثٍ جميلٍ، وسلّطت أضواءً كاشفةً على هذا الفنّ القصصي الوليد الذي أنجبته الحكاية بعقدٍ شرعيّ، للوقوف على أدبيّاته، وإبراز جماليّاته التي سُحر بها أصحاب الفكر والثقافة في الشرق والغرب من دون إستثناء.
لقد تصدّت الرسالة "للقصة الطفلية" بعد ثلاثة كتبٍ تناولت "الشعر" ابتدأت بكتاب "شعر الأطفال في سوريّة" عام 1996 ثم كتاب "قصائد الأطفال في سورية" عام 2003، فكتاب "ظواهر التجديد في قصيدة الأطفال في سورية" عام 2008، وقد صدرت جميعها عن إتحاد الكتّاب العرب بدمشق.
