يضم هذا الكتاب مقرر التأهيل المهني والإجتماعي للمعاقين، ويهدف هذا المقرر إلى تعريف الدارس بأهمية التأهيل المهني والتأهيل الإجتماعي للمعاقين ولذوي الحاجات الخاصة، فالتأهيل المهني والتأهيل الإجتماعي ضرورة لا غنى عنها لكل فرد في المجتمع حتى يتكيف مع نفسه ومع الآخرين، فالتأهيل ليس غاية في ذاته وإنما هو وسيلة تساعد الفرد على التأقلم مع متطلبات البيئة المحيطة به، وبالتالي تساعده على التكيف والرضى عن نفسه، خصوصاً عندما يصبح عضواً منتجاً في المجتمع بدلاً من أن يكون عالة عليه.
لذا جاء هذا المقرر ليساعدك على فهم معنى التأهيل وفلسفته وأشكاله وبرامجه، ويأتي المقرر في ست وحدات دراسية على الشكل الآتي: "الوحدة الأولى: التأهيل"، "الوحدة الثانية: التأهيل المجتمعي"، "الوحدة الثالثة: دور المؤسسات الإجتماعية في التأهيل"، "الوحدة الرابعة: التوجهات الحديثة في التأهيل"، "الوحدة الخامسة: نظريات النمو المهني والتأهيل"، "الوحدة السادسة: واقع التأهيل في المجتمع العربي بعامة والمجتمع الفلسطيني بخاصة".
