يتبين لنا ذلك في لغتهم، وما نجده فيها من مفردات تبرر شدة اهتمامها بأحوال المرأة، في جمالها وقبحها، وفي محاسنها ومساوئها، وتزينها ولباسها، وأنوثتها وأدبها، وفي تتبعهم أجزاء جسدها بالملاحظة الدقيقة، وتسمية كل جزء منه باسم خاص يدل عليه، ووصفه فيما يحسن منه أو يسوء،وقد بلغت كناهم عن النكاح أكثر من مئة وخمسين كناية، وعن هنُ المرأة أكثر من خمسين، وجعلوا لحبهم المرأة مراتب لكل مرتبة خاصة بها، واسم يدل عليها، وبلغت أوصافهم جمالها ألوف الأوصاف...
هذا كله بعض ما جاء في هذا الكتاب عن منزلة المرأة عند العرب!
