مجموعة من الأطفال تكتشف بمحض الصدفة، عن رنين جرس الهاتف صوت استغاثة صادر عن طفل صغير لا يتجاوز الثامنة من العمر يطلب النجدة والمساعدة منهم، قائلاً أن عصابة من الأشرار قد اختطفته". حادثة لا تخلو من الأسرار، فوالد الطفل عالم معروف في علم الآثار ومشهود له بالكفاءة في هذا المجال، فهل مكانة الوالد الاجتماعية، هي السبب في اختطاف ابنه؟ وهل يعرف السيد قدري والد الطفل، ومن هي العصابة التي اختطفت غبنه ومن هم أفرادها؟ لغز ممتع مليء بالأسرار والمغامرات الطريفة، أعدّ خصيصاً لإمتاع الناشئة، وتسليتهم ومساعدتهم على تحليل الوقائع، وتحويلها إلى حقائق واقعية تساعدهم على حل الرموز الغامضة.
