Book Description
"حياة أخرى" هي حياة المرأة أياً كان موقعها، وإسمها، وزمانها، فعلى مدى الرواية تكتب "هدى عبيد" حكاية المرأة في مجتمع ذكوري، تلك المحكومة بالإنتقال من إحباط إلى آخر، والمتوقفة طموحاتها عند عتبة تاء التأنيث. يرسم الرجل مصيرها، ويمكن له أن ينبذها خارجاً من حياته إذا كانت لا تنجب فبطلة الرواية فاطمة إمرأة مثقفة ولكنها محرومة من الإنجاب، فتذوق العذاب والإهانة من زوجها "حيان" الأمر الذي أدخلها في غيبوبة (الكوما) زمن الموت، أي زمن "الحياة الأخرى" كما يشير إلى ذلك عنوان الرواية.
على هامش الرواية تطرح الروائية جملة من المسائل والقضايا، تعري من خلالها الواقع المزيف الذي يعيشه الناس بين حياة اللهو والأزياء والقشور، ومن ثم تعرج على الواقع الطبقي وإنقسام الناس ما بين أغنياء وفقراء، وسارحتين وشرفاء. ومثقفين وأغبياء، كل ذلك تكتبه هذى عيد بقلم يخترق صميم الواقع بذكاء شفاف، وعقل روائي متميز يضع اليد على الجرح، وربما يطلق صرخة احتجاج على واقع مؤرق يعيشه اللبنانيون، فأرادت هدى عيد الكشف عنه في رواية.
