"أقف تابوتاً أرى آثار القسوة ترتسم على وجهك الجاف.. لم يجعل الموت بيننا من حجاب فكلانا ميت، أنت ترتدي الثياب على جسد متخشب وأنا ألبس الخشب على جسد فتي فما دمت كنت خارج الوطن فإنني سوف لا أهرم، سأبقى فتياً إلى أن أعود، لم تستهلكنا الأعمار بل النار الجميلة التي تتقد داخل نفوسنا والتي دفعتني إلى الغربة وصنعت مني إنساناً. إنني كالحطب يتلاشى ليشعل ناراً تكمن كالزناد ينتظر من يقدحه. إن المال الذي عرفته يتمثل في شقوق البيوت الطينية في شارع عشرين في الأرصفة المتكسرة على جانبي شارع الحبوبي العميق الحفر الذي لم يستطع لويس شكوري ردمه، في وجوه الناصر المصفرة كأنها فتيلة زناد. عدت سريعاً بالطائرة جسداً مسجى حين استغرقت رحلتي إلى موطن اللجوء شهوراً من القلق والخوف، أيمكن أن يعود الأحياء المنفيون من بعدي إلى الوطن هذه السرعة يوماً ما؟!.. كان يسير معي ويحميني في طرقات اللجوء عبر الغابات الكثيفة والأسلاك الشائكة وخداع المهربين، لكن ما إن حصلت على بيت جديد وجلست على البحيرة الهادئة وقد زال القلق من نفسي حتى شعرت بفراقه.. في السنوات الأخيرة قبل هروبي كنت أراه الجحيم بعينه فأدرك لماذا يذهب الناس إلى جهنم. في النرويج تكثير الغيوم، إنها أشد حزناً من قطاراتنا لكن الثلج هنا قاسٍ ليس بجمال ثلوج كردستان فهو يعرقل أعمال الإنقاذ في حين أن ثلوج كردستان كانت وما زالت تعيق آلة القمح عن التدمير، في كل يوم ممطر أحب مشاهدة قوس قزح أحياناً يرتسم في السماء وأخرى على الأرض يظهر كشال صبية لا تثنيه الرياح".
