بين أنين الذات وأنين الحروف تبدو الشاعرة السودانية غيداء أبو صالح في حالة استحضار لسحر حلم بعيد، ورسم دقيق لتحليق الذات في عوالم موغلة في الغياب والحلم وفي سعي حثيث لاستحضار القول الشعري للبحث عن معانٍ عصية على التفسير، يزدحم بها عالم الشاعرة في "الطوفان الآخر" العنوان الذي اختارته لمجموعتها الشعرية الوحيدة قصائد توحي بالعمق الفكري والتفوق التصويري والخروج المؤثر عن الزمان والمكان.
في قصيدة بعنوان "كائنات الشوق الآخر" تقول الشاعرة: "أي جنونٍ يُسكنك، الحمىَّ، انثيالك في جوف الحروف، أم، انثيال الحروف في عروق من تحب، (تسكنك الحمىَّ)، القصيدة نهر، تومض نقطة، في حلك، التوجس (...)".
عبر هذه المفردات التي تنتظمها عند الشاعرة بنية لسانية رابطة، وتؤازرها لغة سردية ماتعة ولعبة تخيلية جامحة، تؤكد غيداء أبو صالح حضورها الشعري بل حضورها الذاتي الوجداني الفعلي في ترسيخها مهيمنات الزمان والمكان، العاطفة والعقل، والمناورة فيما بين هذه المقتربات الذهنية والحسية لتقول ما تريد داخل خطاب النص؛ "المدينة غائبة، انتظرت على سورها، دخل النهر قبلي، انتظرتُ، على بابها، دخل العطر قبلي، دخلت، كانت تفك ضفائرها، لفضائها الأخير، (...) في قلبها نهر، فراشة بيضاء وعلى ضياء، عصافيري الخجولة من معانقة الندى، تطير نحوك، دون بوصلة انتظار..".
تضم المجموعة (37) قصيدة نثرية جاءت تحت العناوين الآتية: "الطوفان الآخر"، "إلى أين ترحل في عتمة الدمع"، "صلوات لذاكرة متعبة"، "قراءة الصفصاف"، "حيث البلور يحتضن النور"، "يا بحر قم حرِّك تحرَّك"، "طقس البنفسج"، وقصائد أخرى.
