إنما يكون الإنسان مسلماً ويصح اتّصافه بالإسلام حقاً إذا جمع بين الإيمان والإسلام، أي بين التصديق بما جاء به الدين من العقائد، وبما هو معلوم من الدين بالضرورة حتى يصحّ إيمانه كما بيّن علماء أصول الدين رضي الله تعالى عنهم، وبين العمل بالدين وأحكامه وقتضياته. فلا ينفع إيمانٌ بلا إسلام، كما لا ينفع إإسلامٌ بلا إيمان، فمدار التديّن عليهما، كما أنّ مدار التفاضل بهما.
في هذا الكتاب أوراق حوت كلمات في التصوف ونشأته ومنهجه العلمي من تأليف الأستاذ محمد أمين الفاروقي، جمعها وأعدّها الأستاذ محمد الفحام وعمل على مراجعتها وتخريج أحاديثها وترجمة رجالهل لتعم بها الفائدة وينتفع بها المسلمون.
