واعتماد أصحاب المعجمات اللاحقين على الأولين مما يوهم بثبات اللغة وعدم تطورها، ومنها أنه يلبي حاجة المعلمين والمتعلمين والمختصين على نحو ميسر ودقيق، فهو وسيلة للتعليم على حد سواء، ويمكن أن يناسب مع جميع المراحل الدراسية المختلفة. ومنها قدرته على تصريف الأفعال والأسماء بجميع حالاتها الصرفية والنحوية وفق الصور المختلفة الني يمكن أن ترد في النصوص.
ومنها أنه يورد جميع الكلمات القياسية والسماعية، فما كان قياسياً اعتمد في إيراده على قوانين الاشتقاق، كاسم الفاعل والمفعول ومصادر ما فوق الثلاثي، وأما السماعي كأسماء الجامدة ومصادر الفعال الثلاثية فيوردها اعتماداً على ما هو مخزن فيه، ومنها: أنه يعتمد في عرضه للمعارف اللغوية على الوسائل الحاسوبية الحديثة كالصوت، والصورة والألوان، إلى جانب هذا كله يتميز هذا المعجم بقدرته على التعامل مع أنظمة المعالجة الحاسوبية للغة العربية، كنظام التحليل الصرفي، والنحوي والدلالي وغيرها.. فجميع هذه الأنظمة تحتاج إلى معجم حاسوبي يزودها بالمعارف اللغوية المطلوبة في أثناء المعالجة، ولا يخفي ما لهذه المعالجة من أهمية تتجلى في التطبيقات العديدة المتوخاة منها.
