يختص هذا الكتاب بكشف الفوائد القرآنية وخواص الآيات الشريفة، فالخواص في القرآن كثيرة لا يعلم بحقيقة ما احتوت عليه من الأسرار إلا الله سبحانه وتعالى، والراسخين في العلم ممن اختارهم الله لخدمة العباد ومنهم مؤلف هذا الكتاب الشيخ العلاّمة العارف أبو الحسن الشاذلي الذي وضع للقارىء المسلم كتاب الإختصاص في الفوائد القرآنية، ومما جاء في وصفه للكتاب: " ... ألقيت في هذه الرسالة السر المكنون والعلم المخزون وأثبت فيها القول الصحيح وأبرزت منها الرمز والتلويح ثم اعلم أن الأسرار لا تدرك إلا بتوفيق الله تعالى وقد اندرست معالم المعارف العلويات وأنمحت سبيل الأسرار القدسيات فإذا سمعوا الحقائق ودبت إليهم علوم الطرايق فكلهم من مكان بعيد ومن وراء حجاب جديد فهذا سبب كتم الأسرار وهذا العلم الرباني والسر الرحماني لا يعتريه شياطين الأنس فلأنه علم مكنون وسر محتوم مخزون لا يمسه إلا المطهرون وها أنا أشرع في ترتيب قوانين هذا الكتاب وتهذيب براهين هذا الكتاب بعون الله الملك الوهّاب فأقول وهو حسبي ونعم الوكيل".
وبناءً على ما تقدم يجد القارىء للكتاب خواص جملة من الآيات القرآنية التي بتلاوتها أو كتابتها تقضي الحوائج منها إذا أردت جلب القلوب، وإذا أردت نكال الأعداء، وإذا أردت أن تسلط على الظالم العذاب، وإذا أردت الرزق، ولطب المحبة، ولطلب الذرية، ولطرد الجان والسحر، وللعلاج من الأمراض، وغيرها من مطالب جاءت في الكتاب على شكل رقى وحجب وأشكال هندسية ومجاميع رياضية تضمنت شرحاً لكل طريق ولكل حساب، مع فوائد جليلة في الحسابات وسر الحروف وغيرها من مقاصد.
