إن حوائج الإنسان وشؤونه كثيرة وتزداد يوماً بعد يوم، ولا تحصل الحاجة المطلوبة، ولا تقضي إلا بعد تحقق شروطها وأسبابها، وليس بمعذور أو معسور أمام القرآن الكريم، فهو يؤثر في كل شيء من مخلوقات الله تعالت كلماته، كما أنه يحل كل مشكلة تعترض الإنسان، ويقضي كل حاجته.
انطلاقاً من تلك الرؤية الإيمانية واليقين بإجابة الدعاء وفضل كل آية من آيات القرآن الكريم، يمكن أن يدركها الإنسان، في دار الدنيا أو في دار الآخرة إن عمل وفق شروط تحصيلها. يضع الكاتب عبد الحليم عوض الحلي بين يدي القارىء المسلم كتابه "قضاء الحوائج بالقرآن الكريم" في دعوة صادقة للتمسك بكتاب الله عز وجل والإستعانة به في جميع أمور الحياة.
قدم المؤلف لعمله بمقدمة ومما جاء فيها: "... هذا وقد دلت الآثار المنقولة إلينا من طرق الخاصة والعامة، على أن للقرآن فضائل وآثاراً وبركات تُنال بالقراءة، والحفظ، والتعليم، والتعلم، والكتابة، مثل الأحاديث الكثيرة الواردة عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، وعن أهل بيته عليهم السلام، والتي مفادها أن قراءة شيء من القرآن الكريم في كذا وقت، سببٌ لدفع كذا علّة، وكذا مرض، وهكذا، ولا ريب أن الرسول الكريم صلى الله عليه وسلم أعرق الخلائق أجمعين بما في القرآن الكريم ...".
وبناءً على ما تقدم ذكره، وزع المؤلف وظائف القرآن الكريم على عناوين رئيسية منها: تأثير القرآن الكريم على الإنسان في الدنيا، تأثير القرآن الكريم في قضاء الحوائج وسائر الشؤون، تأثير القرآن في الشفاء من الأمراض، علاج القرآن لبعض ما يصيب البدن، علاج الأمراض الروحية، آثار القرآن عند الموت وفي القبر والمحشر، وتأثير القرآن على الشياطين والجن والملائكة وعلى الجمادات وعلى الحيوانات وعلى النباتات وتأثيرات متفرقة للقرآن أخرى، ويختتم بمباحث مفيدة منها أن سورة التوحيد ثلث القرآن، والمعوذتان لم ينزل مثلهما ... وغيرها.
