إن التفاصيل التي جاء بها هذا الكتاب حول هؤلاء الأمراء تتفوق على أي كتاب كتب حول هؤلاء من الكتب التي تحدثت عن أمراء مكة حيث تناول كل أمير بإسهاب من خلال فحص داخلي للمذكور، ومن خلال الوثائق، والأرشيف العثماني الذي أعطى للكتاب أهمية خاصة، تتفوق على غيره من الكتب التي تناولت نفس الموضوع.
والسؤال بعد هذا العرض لماذا إعادة نشر الكتاب من جديد، أقول: إن الكتاب غني وثري بالمادة العلمية، ولكنه مليء بالأخطاء الإملائية التي تفقد الكتاب الكثير الكثير من ألقه، والفائدة المرجوة منه، كما أنه سادته أخطاء من خلال الترجمة لأن المترجمة له يكن على الإطلاع تام على أسماء الأمراء الذين ولوا مكة منذ سنة 460هـ وما قبلها فمثلاً ذكر أحد الأمراء (خليطة)، والإسم الصحيح (فليتة)، والكثير الكثير من التصحيف، والتحريف ساد ترجمة الكتاب.
بالإضافة إلى ذلك لم يقم المترجم بإبراز تسلسل هؤلاء الأمراء حتى إنتهاء بجدهم علي بن أبي طالب، وكثير من الناس لا يعرفون أن أولاد الحسن بن علي بن أبي حكموا قلة أكثر من ألف سنة، فمن المفيد أن يكون تسلسل هؤلاء الأمراء حتى جدهم علي بن أبي طالب.
ونقطة أهم من كل ذلك، فإن الكتاب خالٍ من أبسط أنواع الفهرسة وخاصة أسماء الأعلام، والمصطلحات، والوظائف التي تجعل القارئ يصل إلى طلبه بيسير وسهولة، كل ذلك تم إستدراكه وتلافي.
