تبرز أهمية هذه الدراسة في أنها تتجه إلى تلمس الدلالة في الجملة الخبرية والجملة الطلبية في سورة مريم، ووظيفة كل منهما في التعبير، موضحة علاقة كل كلمة فيها مع ما يجاورها من ألفاظ وعبارات أخرى، راصدة المعاني والجوانب الجمالية التي تحملها جمل آيات هذه السورة الكريمة، التي تعد تمهيداً أو دليلاً لمعان أخر، ذوات دلالات خاصة، تظهر التناسق في نظم معاني هذه الآيات ليؤدي هذا التناسق إلى اكتمال معالم الصورة الحسية، أو المعنوية فيها وإلى الكشف عن الترابط القائم بين الأهداف، والمعاني الموصلة إليها الشارحة الموضحة لعبرها وأحكامها.
تهدف هذه الدراسة التحليلية الوصفية إلى، التعرف إلى الجملة الخبرية التي يبنى أسلوبها على الحكاية، وما يقصده من إخبار وإعلام بمضمون هذه الجملة واضرب الخبر فيها، وخروج الكلام عن مقتضى الظاهر، كما تبحث في التعرف إلى الجملة الطلبية، وخروج أساليبها إلى معان عدة، يرشد غليها السياق وقرائن الأحوال في سورة كريمة من سور القرآن -هي سورة مريم- وذلك بالتركيز على المستوى الدلالي فيها ووظيفته في التعبير من خلالها، حيث تعد الدلالة من أعلى مستويات التعبير اللغوي، وأرقى حالات تفهم اللغة وتذوقها.
