هذه السلسلة تتناول قصة حياة خلفاء رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم, وهم سيدنا أبو بكر الصديق وهو أول من صدق رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم وآمن به, كان رجلاً عاقلاً سديد الرأي, ساعياً الى الخير مبتعداً عن تحقيق مصالحه الذاتية, وكان متواضعاً زاهداً في الفخر, لا يهمه الغنى, بل كان ينفق كل ماله في سبيل نصرة دين الله. وسيدنا عمر بن الخطاب الملقب بالفاروق لأنه فرق بين الحق والباطل وقد قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فيه (اللهم أعز الإسلام بعمر). هذا الرجل الجاد الذي لا يمازح أحداً, خشن الملبس, الحازم في أمور دينه, ظل هذا الرجل مصاحباً لرسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم في ترحاله وجهاده وغزواته, ويمتثل لأوامره, ويبذل جهده لإعلاء كلمة الإسلام. وثالث الخلفاء هو سيدنا عثمان بن عفان الذي كان يكنى بذي النورين لزواجه من ابنتي الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم رقية وأم كلثوم. اشتهر عثمان بن عفان بالفقه والحياء والكرم, وكان لين العريكة كثير الإحسان والحلم, وقد قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم عن حياء عثمان رضي الله عنه: (أصدق أمتي حياءً عثمان). وكان عثمان رضي الله عنه رابع أربعة في الإسلام وكان يفخر لهذا كثيراً. وقد بذل روحه وماله في سبيل الإسلام. أما رابع الخلفاء فهو علي بن أبي طالب وهو ابن عم الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم, وزوج ابنته فاطمة الزهراء رضي الله عنها, كان يكنى بأبي تراب, ويفرحه أن يدعى بهذا اللقب, وهو أحد العشرة المبشرين بالجنة, كما اتصف بالذكاء والشجاعة والقوة والفقه وبعد النظر واحترام العهود, وغيرها من الصفات الحميدة. أما الخليفة الخامس فهو سيدنا عمر بن عبد العزيز رضي الله عنه, فقد كان معلم العلماء, وكانت سيرته أشبه بسيرة عمر بن الخطاب رضي الله عنه, وكان كثيراً ما يتشبه به, فقد عرف بالتقوى والصلاح والعدل والتواضع والعفة والزهد والتمسك بكتاب الله وسنة رسوله صلى الله عليه وسلم منذ نشأته.
