في "أنا ونيران كانون" ترنيمات عاشقة تحب على طريقتها الخاصة. تخرج من زمن التقليد بأشعارها، وتكتب ما تريد، تنثر حبها على صفحات كتاب وهي تقول لعاشقها: " ... أعذرني/ لا أريد أن أسير خلفك كباقي النساء/ أو تصطادني كأية امرأة في الخفاء/ أو تضفيني إلى عداد نساءك تحت ذلك المساء/ فأنا لا أبيع كبريائي وغروري إلى يوم الفناء/ الحب كلمة .. حالة ../ فتعلم الحب دون قناع ../ أو كذب .. أو خداع../ الحياة من دون حب مأساة/ والمأساة ما أنت فيه ليس إلا ..."
وفي هذا العمل قصائد متنوعة، الحب ثيمتها، تأتي كومضات محركة للعقل والعاطفة معا، تبوح بها أنثى، فليس أجدر من المرأة من التعبير عن ذاتها، فكان الصدق علامة تميزت بها قصائد الديوان.
يضم الكتاب ما يقارب الأربعين قصيدة في الشعر العربي الحديث نذكر من عناوينها: "حب على حافة الهاوية" ، "كبرياء" ، "ماذا سأفعل" ، "حب على طريقتي الخاصة" ، "ذكريات لمكان لا ينسى" ، " الحب الممنوع" ، "حب أعمى" ، "إلى رجل" ... الخ.
