"حديثة يا حروفي حديثة، واعصري القلب وبالهُدب اكتبيه، كما أعاني من تباريح الهوى، وخفايا عِلتي منه وفيه، إن دعا.. قولي له: إنّي له، حديثه يا حروفي حدّثيهِ. حدّثي عنّي وقولي دَمْعُهُ، غاصَ في وجهٍ عصيٍّ فاعصريهِ، كلّما يطلبُ قلبي ينعتني، كلّما يطلب روحي تبتغيه، إن سلاني كيف أحيا دونه، حديثه يا حروفي حدِّثيهِ، صوته يُشجي أغانيهِ المُنى، يا حروفي عانقيه واسمعيهِ يُطربُ الصُمَّ ويشفي عللاً من شذا نفسٍ وأنغام تيه، وجهُهُ الكون ومن يجري به. حدثيه يا حروفي حدثيه، صوته يشجي أغانيه المُنى، يا حروفي عانقيه واسمعيهِ يُطرِبُ الصُمَّ ويشفي عللاً من شذا نفسِ وأنغام تيه، وجهُهُ الكونُ ومن يجري به، حدّثيه يا حروفي حدّثيه".
في هذه المجموعة الشعرية تبثّ الشاعرة "هتاف الشوفي" همومها ورؤاها الصغيرة، وأحلامها الضعيفة التي كسرها الزمن، وأطبق عليها بأيامه الصعبة، وساعاته الطويلة.
