هناك نقص كبير في المعلومات عما يجري في فلسطين وعن أسباب الانتفاضة ووقائعها، كما أن هناك تشويهاً لما يجري أيضاً. ولوسائل الإعلام دورها المحوري في تغطية الأحداث، ولكن المطبّق على أرض الواقع أن الإعلام العالمي بما فيه العربي، لا يخدم القضية الفلسطينية ولا انتفاضة الشعب الفلسطيني بالصورة المطلوبة، ومن هنا رأى المؤلف "نبيل علقم" وجوب إبراز الحقائق المتعلقة بالاحتلال الإسرائيلي وبروح الجهاد والمقاومة الفلسطينية في الأرض المحتلة محاولاً في كتابه هذا عرض أهم الأسباب التي دفعت إلى قيام انتفاضة الأقصى وأساليب القمع الإسرائيلي، كما وعرض لأساليب القتل والمذابح التي تقوم بها إسرائيل ضد الشعب الفلسطيني، ليجيب على سؤال في غاية الأهمية هل القتل ضرورة أم رغبة إسرائيلية، ومن ثم بيّن الكاتب نماذج من الإصابات الخطرة التي أقدم على ارتكابها العدو الغاصب، كما وناقش بعد ذلك مضمون أسطورة طهارة السلاح الإسرائيلي فأورد عليها العديد من الشواهد التي تنمّ عن أسطورية هذه المقولة من خلال مناقشة نوع السلاح المستعمل وكيفية استعماله ضد الشعب الأعزل وضد الصحفيين وطواقم الإسعاف، ومن ثم بيّن المؤلف ممارسات الدولة (الديمقراطية) في مدينة الخليل، لينتقل بعدها إلى موضوع (سياسة القبضة الحديدية) وكيفية تنفيذها على الأراضي المحتلة. كما وعمد إلى استعراض الطفولة الغائبة عن أطفال فلسطين دون أطفال العالم كله، عبر عرضه لمجموعة من الصور التي تبين وجه إسرائيل الحقيقي المتجسد في سفك دماء الأبرياء من الأطفال والشباب وكبار السن.
