"ودّع بريق الشمس في الزمن المريب، فالقهر غاشي والنوائب تستجيب، أغداً هو الوعد الكئيب، هيا نودّع بعضنا بعضاً فرب غدٍ يعود ولا يعود به حبيب، ودّع ربيع العمر في الأطفال، والنبت المضمخ بالنضال، واطلب إلى الشمس الغروب، وسل البدور بأن تغيب، حتى إذا الجدب استطال وراح يعصف بالخصيب، ونثائر الشجر النديّ، تساقطت عذراء في فصل الخريف، وذون من الرعب المخيف، حدّق من الدهر العتيق إلى الدهر الجديد، وقم تهيأ للنحيب".
في أبجدية قلبه تنطلق موسيقى شعرية تتهادى تواقيع، وتسري ألحان، هي أحاسيس شاعر وهي أهازيج قلبه التي تدخل القلوب دونما استئذان. وفي أبجدية قلب شاعرنا سيالات من المعاني، تجري ضمن نظم يفصح عن امتلاك لناصية الكلمة المنساقة ضمن نسق شعري حديث موسوم بالقوة والجزالة.
