لذا، وجدت من المستحسن أن أبدأ الحديث عن التخطيط بشكل عام وذلك في الفصل الأول من الكتاب، ومن ثم في الفصل الثاني تخطيط الموارد البشرية كتمهيد للإنتقال للحديث عن المسار الوظيفي بجميع أبعاده، ومكوناته في الفصل الثالث من هذا المؤلف، وفي الفصل الرابع تم التطرق لأهم المهارات التي تسهم بنجاح المسار الوظيفي للفرد، والفصل الخامس تم تخصيصه للحديث عن بناء المسار الوظيفي وما هي مقومات وأساسيات بناء المسار الوظيفي وفي الفصل السادس والأخير تم الحديث عن التوافق الوظيفي وأساليب الكشف عن ذلك وبالمقابل إستراتيجيات أحداث التوافق الوظيفي.
