خليل السهارنفوري (1269 - 1346 هـ، 1852 - 1927 م)
أبو إبراهيم خليل أحمد بن مجيد علي بن أحمد علي بن قطب علي الأنصاري الحنفي
• هو من كبار شيوخ الديوبندية (نسبة إلى جامعة ديوبند «دار العلوم» الموجودة في مدينة «ديوبند» الهندية، ومن مشاهيرهم: رشيد أحمد الكنكوهي، وحسين أحمد المدني، ومحمد أنور شاه الكشميري، وأبو الحسن علي الندوي، وحبيب الرحمن الأعظمي)
والديوبنديون بصفة عامة: ماتريديون في العقيدة، أحناف في المذهب، وهم يتبعون الطريقة الجشتية الصوفية التي تنسب إلى قرية «جشت» في هراة بشمال أفغانستان (أسسها أبو إسحاق الدمشقي الجشتي ونشرها في الهند خواجه معين الدين حسن السنجري الأجميري وهي أول طريقة أخذها أهل الهند)
• ولد في قرية نانوته من أعمال سهارنفور، ونشأ ببلدة أنبيتهه.
• قرأ على كبار مشايخ مدرسة ديوبند وعلمائها وكذلك مظاهر العلوم بسهارنفور، وعيّن أستاذًا مساعدًا في مظاهر العلوم ثم اختير أستاذًا في دار العلوم، بديوبند، ثم انتقل إلى مظاهر العلوم وتولى رئاسة التدريس فيها، ثم تولى نظارتها إلى أن غادرها عام 1344 هـ إلى الحرمين الشريفين، فلم يرجع إليها.
• أخذ عن: يعقوب النانوتوي، ومحمد مظهر النانوتوي، والحسن السهارنفوري، ورشيد الكنكوهي، وأحمد دحلان، وعبد القيوم البرهانوي، وأحمد البرزنجي، وعبد الغني المجددي.
• وممن أخذ عنه: محمد زكريا الكاندهلوي أخص وأقرب تلاميذه، وعبد الله الكنكوهي، وعاشق إلهي الميرتهي، وفخر الدين غازي، ومحمد إلياس الكاندهلوي، وفيض الحسن الكنكوهي، ومحمد حسين الحبشي.
• توفي يوم الأربعاء في السادس عشَر من ربيع الآخر سنة 1346 هـ، في المدينة، ودفن في البقيع.

• بذل المجهود في حل أبي داود: من أبرز مصنفاته.
• المهّند على المفّند: ألفّه لبيان معتقدات علماء ديوبند، والرد على الإمام محمد بن عبد الوهاب ودعوته
• إتمام النّعم على تبويب الحكم.
• تنشيط الأذان.
• مطرقة الكرامة على مرآة الإمامة.
• هدايات الرشيد في إفحام العنيد.
والكتابان الأخيران في الرد على الشيعة الإمامية
