إن فكرت إصدار سلسلة علمية مبسطة عن الحيوانات في العالم، للأطفال ظهرت نتيجة النقص الشديد الموجود في عالمنا العربي عن هذا الموضوع. لذلك جاءت هذه لسلسلة التي بين أيدينا لسد هذا النقص ولإعطاء الطفل معلومات واسعة عن الحيوانات من حيث مولدها، وترتيبها وبيئتها، وتكاثرها، وغذائها ولما كانت هذه المعلومات علمية بحتة فقد اهتم معدو هذه السلسلة بالاعتماد في إعدادها على أهم المراجع العلمية العربية والأجنبية الموثوقة، كما واختاروا أصح المعلومات وقاموا بصياغتها بلغة بسيطة وذلك ليستطيع الطفل من قراءتها بسهولة ويسر، إلى جانب هذا زينوا الصفحات برسوم وصور ملونة توضح مادة النص المشروح.
