The Author Book Diwan Al-Afwah Al-Awdi .
• هو شاعر يماني جاهلي، اسمه صَلاءة بن عمرو بن مالك، من مَذحِج
والصلاءة: مِدَقُّ الطِّيب (حجر عريض يدق عليه العطر)
ومَذحِج - على وزن مسجد -: قبيلة باليمن
لقب بالأفوه لأنه كان غليظ الشفتين ظاهر الأسنان، والأودي نسبة لبني أود
وكان يقال لأبيه عمرو بن مالك: فارس الشوهاء (والشوهاء اسم فرسه)، وفي ذلك يقول الأفوه:
أَبِي فَارِسُ الشَّوْهَاءِ عَمْرُو بْنُ مَالِكٍ ... غَدَاةَ الْوَغَى إِذْ مَالَ بِالْجَدِّ عَاثِرُ
• جاء في الأغاني: روى الكلبي عن أبيه قال: (كان الأفوه من كبار الشعراء القدماء في الجاهلية وكان سيد قومه وقائدهم في حروبهم وكانوا يصدرون عن رأيه والعرب تعده من حكمائها. وتعد داليته من حكمة العرب وآدابها) ا. هـ
وفيها يقول (من البسيط):
وَالبَيتُ لا يُبتَنى إِلّا لَهُ عَمَدٌ ... وَلا عِمادَ إِذا لَم تُرسَ أَوتادُ
لاَ يَصْلُحُ النَّاسُ فَوْضَى لاَ سَراةَ لَهُمْ ... وَلاَ سَرَاةَ إِذَا جُهَّالُهُمْ سَادُوا
ومنها أيضاً في ذم بعض أهل الشر من قومه:
فِينَا مَعَاشِرُ لَمْ يَبْنُوا لِقَوْمِهِمُ ... وَإِنْ بَنَى قَوْمُهُمْ مَا أَفْسَدُوا عَادُوا
• وفاته: هو من أقدم شعراء العرب، ورجح عمرو فروخ أن تكون وفاته 560 م
Book Description
يعدّ الأفوه الأودي من أقدم شعراء العرب حتى قال بعضهم بأنه أقدم من طبقات الشعراء وأنه أوّل من قصَّد القصيدة. وقد أثنى النقاد والمؤرخون على مكانة الأفوه الشعرية والقبلية كثيراً وعدّوه من فرسان العرب المشهورين قوة وشمائل، ورأوا تقديمه على غيره من الشعراء في كلمات وأوصاف لم يُسْبَق إليها، ودلت على إعجابهم بشاعريته.
وكان أكثر شعره في الحكمة والحماسة والفروسية، ويعدّ من الشعراء الحكماء، وكان أغلب شعره مفاخر في بطولته وبطولة قومه في حروب حققوا فيها انتصارات ساحقة. إضافة إلى صور دقيقة تعدّ نادرة في العصر الجاهلي. وقد حفل شعره بالمفردات الصعبة والتي زادت من غنى معاجم اللغة ونادراً ما نجد معجماً لغوياً يخلو من عشرات الشواهد الشعرية له.
وفي طيات هذا الكتاب دوّن المحقق ما جمعه من قصائد وأبيات الأفوه الأزدي مرفقاً ذلك بدراسته حول عرب الشمال وعرب الجنوب مع ترجمة للشاعر ومخطوطة للديوان ثم ديوانه مع ترجمة للشاعر من كتاب الأغاني وكتاب معاهد التنصيص.
