الحريري (446 - 516 هـ = 1054 - 1122 م)
القاسم بن علي بن محمد بن عثمان، أبو محمد الحريري البصري: الأديب الكبير، صاحب «المقامات الحريرية - ط» سماه «مقامات أبي زيد السروجي».
ومن كتبه «درة الغواص في أوهام الخواص - ط» و «ملحة الإعراب - ط» و «صدور زمان الفتور وفتور زمان الصدور» في التاريخ.
و «توشيح البيان» نقل عنه الغزولي.
وله شعر حسن في «ديوان» و «ديوان رسائل».
وكان دميم الصورة غزير العلم.
مولده بالمشان (بليدة فوق البصرة) ووفاته بالبصرة.
ونسبته إلى عمل الحرير أو بيعه.
وكان ينتسب إلى ربيعة الفرس.
قال مرجليوث: ترجم شولتنز وريسكه نماذج من مقامات الحريري إلى اللاتينية في القرن الثامن عشر، وظهرت لها تراجم في كثير من اللغات الأوربية الحديثة، مثل ترجمة روكرت Ruckert الألمانية وترجمة Chemery and Steingass الإنجليزية
