يضم الكتاب رسالة في علم التصوف للإمام العالم الجامع بين الشريعة، والحقيقة أبي القاسم بن هوازن القشيري. وبما أن الرسالة بحاجة إلى بيان مرادها، قام الشيخ زكريا بن محمد الأنصاري ببيان معاني تلك الرسالة، فوضع لها شرحاً حل من خلاله ألفاظها وبين مرادها، وحقق مسائلها، وقرر دلائلها، وسمى كتابه "أحكام الدلالة على تحرير الرسالة" وهو يرويها بالسند من الإمام المرئي وغيره من أقطاب التصوف، ونظراً لغموض بعض ما جاء في هذا الشرح من مراد الصوفية قام العلامة مصطفى العروسي، وضح ذلك لما قام عنده مقتض كلامهم، وكان في الواقع خارجاً عنه بعيداً منه، فجاء كتابه "نتائج الأفكار القدسية.." مبيناً لمعاني جاءت في متن شرح الشيخ الأنصاري موضحاً لها، ومضيفاً إلى البيان بياناً في ما جاء في تلك الرسالة من أنوار عرفانية، ومعارف وجدانية وإلهامات ربانية.
