هل الشعر في خطر كما يدعون؟ وهل ثمة مصالحة بين الشاعر المعاصر وماضي الأيام الراعفة؟ أسئلة تطرح نفسها, تدخل تحت الستار وتأتي الإجابات عليها قاصرة ومتنوعة. لقد صار الشعر شيئاً من الماضي, وتحول الشاعر بطلاً من نوع آخر لكن الحلم ما زال في الرحيق. وأما الخطاب الشعري في نظر المدعين الذين تأخذهم الغيرة على مستقبل هذا الخطاب فإنه عاجز عن التأثير في محيطه كما أنه لا يشكل إبداعاً حقيقياً من جولة المقارنات مع الماضي القريب والبعيد على حد سواء. إذ تفوح منه رائحة الغوص والضياع وتختلط فيه أدوات الشعر دونما قدرة على التجاوز والتخطي. والمخيلة التي كانت تمثل موقعاً حضارياً في رأيهم تحولت الى طقوس معرفية على بوابات الانتحار. وقد تناثرت هذه الآراء وجدد أصحابها صراعهم الفني مع غيرهم بقصد الخوف على مستقبل الصحراء العربية مهد الشعر الأول حيث فقد الشعر أصالته واستوطن ديار الاغتراب. وهديل المنافي- المجموعة الشعرية الخامسة هي نسيج معاصر يتحدى صاحبها الخوف على مستقبل الشعر ويعقد مصالحة مع الماضي ولكن حلمه يحمل بعداً آخر في الشجون وتدفق الكلمات. فالتجليات الروحية القلقة تتسع فيها مغامراته, ويستخدم أدوات عصره على الرغم من قيلولته الطويلة في المنافي.
