في جديده الشعري "قد يحدث هذا الفراغ مرتين" يبدو الشاعر "عبد الله العثمان" فير آبهٍ بقواميس اللغة بحثاً عن المفردة البراقة والأنيقة والمنمقة في الإستعمال الشعري المتعارف والمتداول ولم ينشغل بالمدلولية والكلمات السائدة وبما يمكن تسميته بالرسمية الشعرية أو الاتكيت الشعري، بل نجد دلالات النصوص تنبعث من مرجعياته الخاصة واقتناعاته العنيدة والشجاعة في كسر المألوف في النص الشعري، ففي نصه المعنون بـ (الإثنين) يقول:
"الممر مجهول في من المتحكم به؛ هل هو السقف؟ أو الحائطان الموازيان للرأس؟، أم المكتب والمكتب المجاور له. يصل بك دون أي جهد في التفكير بالطريق، ورائحة الممر تعج في أنفك بالكلور هذه خطورة أولى لقتل النية السيئة قبل وصولك إلى مكان المراقبة لو لم تحدث هذه الرائحة لانهارت غرفة الطوارئ في رأسك ولم تتمكن من الابتسامة في غرفة التحكم بمصير يوم الاثنين".
قسم الشاعر عمله إلى مجموعتين، المجموعة الأولى بعنوان "تمارين لإطالة مفاصل البلادة" والمجموعة الثانية بعنوان "إقتباس لعلامة تخص دينصور". أما مجموع النصوص فبلغت تسعة عشر نصاً، نذكر من عناوينها: "الهرب بنصف خوذة"، "أكثر من السعادة"، "سأقفز من علبة بيبسي"... الخ.
