يرسم الدَّويهي جداريّاته بالكلمات، ومتى أكمل لوحة أتبعها بأخرى، ويلزمك بحوارها والتسامر مع أشياءها، وكأنك أمام رواية مسرودة تنعطف بك إلى مناجاة ذاتها، وذاتك، وكأنما يضع أمامك مرآة يريك فيها جمال المكان وروحه اللذان يجمعان الناس من شرق الأرض ومغربها... ما من مكان في الأرض يضمّ كلّ هذه المقاهي القائمة في هذه المدينة، لكنك تكاد لا تراها، فهي من الإنسجام في أبنيتها القديمة الداكنة، وراء شوارعها الممحوّة بحيث لا توجد في حد ذاتها...".
في هذا الكتاب يحاكي الدّويهي الروح بالروح، والقلب بالقلب، يحمل توقيعه عن بلد النور "باريس" حيث أقام، ويعكس لقارئه ثراءٌ ثقافي، وفكر نهضوي، ومعرفة تقنية قل مثيلها عند غيره.
