هذه التجربة الرائدة، التي كان قوامها عاصي ومنصور الرحباني وفيروز قدّمت للبنان والعرب والعالم مألفة فنية تجسدت في شريط غني وطويل من آلاف الأغاني والإسكتشات والمسرحيات الغنائية والبرامج التلفزيونية والأفلام السينمائية وحفلات المهرجانات، ما جعلها تحتل واجهة الإبداع اللبناني والعربي لأربعة عقود من الزمن.
وفي هذا الإطار قبضت الظاهرة الرحبانية على تطلعات الناس وأشواقهم وتحفزِّهم، ولهذا قال الرحبانيان بالتكامل مع فيروز حكاية كل لبناني وعربي يريد الخروج من ماضي التبعثر والتقليد إلى عالم حالم بالحرية والبناء والفرح عبر النص الإبداعي الذي احتضن الأبعاد الإحيائية والتحديثية التي وطأت الصعب والجميل في صيغة ساهمت عميقاً في حل إشكالية الأصالة / الحداثة من النواحي الموسيقية والفنية الأخرى، ما أخرج موسيقانا من قوالبها التقليدية وفتح لها مسارات ومقاربات جديدة في الأشكال والتقنيات والمضامين، ولا شك أن فيروز بوجدانها الغنائي الثري والعميق وأدائها الخاص كانت صوت هذه المعادلة / الظاهرة إلى حدٍ بعيد.
