يبحث هذا الكتاب في موضوعات عصرية هامة مثل الإتصال وعلم الاجتماع والعلاقات العامة وارتباط هذه الموضوعات بموضوع حساس وهو الإعلام ومن ثم يبحث في الإعلام الموجه أو الإعلام المسيس وأثر هذا الإعلام على القنوات أو المحطات التلفزيونية وخصوصاً الفضائيات العربية حيث أن الفضائيات العربية لم تصل إلى الآن إلى مرحلة النضوج الإعلامي لأنها ببرامجها المختلفة واقعة تحت وطأة أو هيمنة الإعلام الغربي المسيس، لذلك سنبحث في برامج الفضائيات العربية المختلفة وكيف ولماذا تعمل تحت سيطرة الإعلام المسيس أي قيود السلطة الحاكمة والدول الأجنبية المرتبطة بها على أداء وحرية هذه الفضائيات وبالتالي فشل الفضائيات العربية في تطبيق المعاير الدولية في الإعلام من ناحية الحرية والإستقلالية والحياد والموضوعية والاستخفاف بالمشاهدين وتصدير أفكار وأخبار غير صحيحة وأحياناً مسممة بما يخالف معايير العمل الإعلامي والصحفي مع نماذج من هذه الفضائيات وبرامجها ومن ثم وضع شروط لصحة عمل الفضائيات العربية
