كان تعليم الحساب من المهمات العسيرة على الكثير من الأهل والمعلمين، وكان الأطفال يرون فيه مادة جافة تخلو من التشويق بالأمثلة والرسوم والألوان المحببة إلى قلوبهم. وقد جاء كتاب الحساب المسلي الأول "من1إلى 100" فلاقي إقبالا واسعاً لبى حاجة ملحة.
أما كتاب "الحساب المسلي الثاني" هذا فإنه يجيء مكملاً لكتاب "الحساب المسلي الأول" ومتمما له. فهو يجمع بين الفائدة والمتعة إنه يساعد الطفل على تعلم مبادئ الحساب والرياضيات: المضاعفات-الأطوال-الزوايا-الجمع والطرح والضرب وحل المسائل الحسابية، كل ذلك وفق الوسائل التعليمية الحديثة، مع الرسوم الطريفة والمحببة إلى الطفل والقريبة من مفهومه.
وقد أكدنا فيه على ناحية تربوية أساسية ركزنا فيها على إشعار الطفل أنه قادر على التفكير وراغب في العمل يقبل عليه بحماسة وثقة.
أما من حيث المتعة فهذا الكتاب يسلي الولد ويبهجه وبالصور والألوان الزاهية، ومن هنا تسميته "الحساب المسلي".
ونأمل في هذه السلسلة أن تستمر في السير مع الطفل في دروب الحساب بالفائدة والمتعة لتحقيق الهدف المنشود.
